SaaS Infrastructure & Systems Architect (Python) bij Electric Ant Lab

We are looking for a highly-skilled infrastructure architect with determination and a self-starting attitude to join our team of developers and scientists. This position requires the following experience:
• handling of various types of storage: large-scale, high-availability, fast-IO; from remote tape drives to local ssd
• handling of various types of computing resources (HPC, cloud, local servers and containers)
• storage and computing API's (unification of resources)
• smart & automated migration of data (inexpensive long-term vs fast-IO short-term storage)
• management of large and complex data sets
• data security
• hardware, networking, file-systems, and OS-level administration (linux)
• DevOps practices
The back-end and front-end team that we are currently forming will build on the existing prototype but there is plenty of room for new ideas. You'll have freedom to operate and lead the way in our SaaS infrastructure development. You will work with various other experts all with their own specific expertise and all contributing to making our SaaS a succes.

Electric Ant Lab is moving R&D from the lab to the laptop. We do so by providing intuitive Simulation-as-a-Service tools with novel scientific models of materials, complex computing methods, massive amounts of data and high-performance computing. On-demand and scalable. Which means we develop, host and run pretty complex and forward thinking code and a complex back-end with a number of sub-services.
